Using videos, text, and images, students explore the day’s tragic events, how the nation and world responded, and how Americans remember 9/11 and the thousands who died. By analyzing the larger 9/11 story, the individuals who acted heroically, and the challenges of recovering from the attacks, students answer the essential question: How did September 11, 2001, affect communities locally and across the nation, both immediately and in the years since?
