The following support programs may be of interest to family members.  Please note, since mental health and support needs very for each person, we strongly recommend checking in with a licensed mental health professional about your individual needs to see if a particular support program is appropriate for you and/or your family.

Mental Health Centers

 

The following mental health centers specialize in treating trauma and grief.  Each agency has its own policy regarding accepted forms of insurance for payment of services.  If you would like more assistance with a mental health referral or if you have questions about payment for mental health services, please contact Diane Nealon at 617-482-8156.

Currently able to accept the following types of reimbursement for school & clinic- based psychotherapy services: Medicaid, Mass Health administered through Massachusetts Behavioral Health Partnership (MBHP) and self pay.  Some select free care available through some VOCA grant funded services.

Contact:  Coordinator, Holly Aldridge, LICSW.  The Center for Homicide Bereavement provides counseling services free of charge to family members affected by homicide in Massachusetts.

 

Additional outpatient services are also available at the Victims of Violence Program to individual survivors of trauma.  Call Bernadette Louise at 617-591-6360 and services provided to communities affected by trauma are offered through the Community Crisis Response Team (CCRT) – for more information, call Anne Mondesir at 617-645-5314.
